The R.C. Appenzeller Visualization Laboratory is named after Robert Appenzeller, president and CEO of Machine Products Corporation. The Appenzeller Visualization Laboratory is the heart of the daytaOhio facility. It is one of the most advanced visualization and presentation environments in the nation. Powered by Barco, a world leader in display and visualization solutions, the R.C. Appenzeller Visualization Laboratory features a virtual, fully immersive environment and large-scale display wall allowing researchers to visualize and manipulate their research data, from the microscopic functions of proteins to new designs for aircraft controls. Featuring both mono and 3D projection equipment and network-centric capabilities, the lab can be fully interactive with the other research labs in the building, across the region and around the world for true virtual collaboration, analysis, and decision making. This facility is unique to the Midwest and houses the most advanced visualization laboratory currently available.
