Ohio Third Frontier Project IconOhio Department of Development Icon

The effective use of information is the basis for growth and competitive advantage in the knowledge economy. Through its Third Frontier program and investment in daytaOhio, Ohio is improving the ability of its business, academic, and government institutions to effectively manage and use information to enhance the value of its products and services. This will drive the growth of the State's existing economic base and create an environment that will promote investments to expand and grow existing Ohio companies, attract others to Ohio, and foster the creation of relevant, high value start-ups.

daytaOhio was formed as a powerful partnership to leverage Ohio's key assets in data-intensive technologies. This new center is focused on creating a center of gravity in Ohio for the research, development, and commercialization of data acquisition, management, analysis, and delivery technologies to meet global market demand. daytaOhio brings together the market driven demand of leading technology companies with the innovation of Ohio's top universities, and the supporting resources of non-profit and government organizations to harness and accelerate technology commercialization that will build and grow companies and ultimately provide high-wage jobs in Ohio.
